If your organization is working in this space, please visit our [**Nourishing Neighbors**](https://nourishingneighbors.com) **page** to look for any available RFP opportunities. **About Nourishing Neighbors** **Albertsons Companies Foundation's Nourishing Neighbors program is dedicated to fighting food insecurity and ensuring that at-risk children, adults, seniors, and families have access to the food they need to succeed. The program supports various initiatives, including providing nutritious breakfasts for children, holiday dinners, and school pantries. Since inception in 2014, Nourishing Neighbors raised and donated over $300 million, enabling more than 1 billion meals to be donated to communities, including those affected by disasters. The program also focuses on long-term solutions to hunger, such as connecting people to federal meal programs like SNAP and WIC. Through these efforts, we aim to create sustainable and lasting change in the fight against hunger.** **Who we work with** We work with existing and new partners that we proactively seek out and identify as collaborators to achieve our mission and goals. Grants made in a limited geography will be considered by the local [Public Affairs Staff](https://www.nourishingneighbors.com/articles/120-nourishing-neighbors-team) **Eligibility** Organizations we fund must be either designated as a 501(c)3 charity or a public k-12 school and serve the community where we operate. To find out where we operate, please see our [Investor Relations site](https://www.albertsonscompanies.com/investors/overview/default.aspx). **Exclusions** Although we would love to help everyone, the Foundation generally does not fund: - Individuals or for-profit organizations - Political organizations or activities - Religious organizations for religious purposes - Capital or building campaigns - Advocacy programs - Meetings, conferences, or workshops - Sports teams or athletic competitions - Other foundations or granting organizations - Fundraising dinners, galas, and events. (Note: we generally do not sponsor these events because the sponsorship is not fully deductible and because we prefer that our funds go directly to program services rather than offset event expenses.)
