Our History and Values Michael L. Slack, Mike Davis, and the late Tom H. Davis founded Slack Davis in 1993 as they felt many clients were not getting the legal services they deserved from other law firms when catastrophic events were involved. As their practice rapidly expanded beyond aviation crashes to other areas, they realized that lawyers without the necessary scientific or technical backgrounds were at a significant disadvantage when handling complex cases. They developed a different model, utilizing their strong engineering, piloting and technical skills and their abilities to effectively communicate complex subjects to judges and juries. The firm expanded to Dallas in 2003 when Ladd Sanger joined the firm as managing partner. The Fort Worth office opened in 2011 with John Jose at the helm. Our firm and our team believe strongly in giving back to the community. Our lawyers and staff serve on many community boards, volunteer, and make donations to nonprofit organizations through the firm’s Corporate Giving Program. Our clients come to us from all walks of life, and include people harmed by negligence as well as families who’ve lost loved ones in a tragedy. Throughout the litigation process, our legal team treats all of our clients with professionalism, dignity and respect. In personal injury cases, our goal is to pursue top-dollar compensation that will fulfill our clients’ immediate and future needs. Because we work on contingent-fee basis in plaintiffs’ personal injury claims, our advocacy is available to all.
