**About I-O Psychology** I-O psychology is a dynamic and growing field that addresses work-related issues at the individual and organizational level. I-O psychologists apply research that improves the well-being and performance of people and the organizations that employ them. This involves everything from workforce planning, employee selection, and leader development to studying job attitudes and job motivation, implementing work teams, improving diversity and inclusion, and facilitating organizational change. SIOP represents Division 14 of the American Psychological Association; they recognize I-O psychology as a specialty of professional psychology. **Mission Statement** To enhance human well-being and performance in organizational and work settings by promoting the science, practice, and teaching of I-O psychology. **Vision Statement** Science and practice transforming work that builds effective organizations and promotes worker well-being. **Our Values** At SIOP, we will: - Promote the highest ethical standards in research, education, and evidence-based practice of I-O psychology - Inspire individual and organizational health, well-being, and effectiveness - Serve as the trusted authority for the science of psychology applied to the workplace - Create and nurture an inclusive and collegial community through intentional action - Encourage and embrace more diversity within our profession - Respond in a timely and meaningful way to real-world problems - Steward our human and financial resources for maximum positive impact
