**About the College of Nursing** Established in 2008, the Texas A&M College of Nursing is committed to addressing the critical nursing shortage across Texas, including historically underserved and rural populations. We are dedicated to educating and producing nurses prepared to lead within the profession while advancing nursing research and increasing outreach initiatives to positively impact the health care landscape. BRIDGING THE GAP Creating a sustainable pipeline of diverse, educated nurses through advanced education, collaborative programs and strategic partnerships is key to meeting the challenges of health care. Our students take knowledge gained from the classroom, simulations and clinical training to provide patient-centered care beyond the bedside. Staying true to our Aggie Core Values, we foster a culture that enhances the quality of life across Texas, the nation and beyond. Mission The mission of the College of Nursing is to educate professional nurses of today and leaders of tomorrow through the provision of excellent educational programs in nursing. The college will identify, attract and graduate students of high potential, especially those from groups who have been historically under-represented in Texas health care. Furthermore, this mission will facilitate individuals, families and groups in achieving the maximum state of well-being through education of highly skilled nurses, research and service. The mission of the college will be enhanced through faculty contributions to community service, leadership, practice and research.
