Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is the state agency charged with overseeing and providing workforce development services to employers and job seekers of Texas. TWC strengthens the Texas economy by providing the workforce development component of the Governor's economic development strategy. They are appointed by the Governor of Texas. Together, they oversee the agency and help to develop policies and regulations. The Commissioners each represent employers, labor and the public. While the agency is governed by the Commissioners, the Executive Director is head of the agency and manages day-to-day operations.
