**Our Mission** To create a thriving community by connecting people, resources, and solutions throughout the Mohawk Valley. **Who We Are** **We are problem solvers, innovators, and connectors.** We go after our community’s toughest challenges, develop solutions, and work with people from all walks of life to turn those solutions into action. It’s not easy, but we don’t ever give up. **What We Do** We focus on more than just a single issue facing our community. **We build stronger communities by improving access to health, education, and financial stability — the building blocks for a good quality of life.** **Impact Action Strategies:** **Health:** We ensure people can live healthier lives by connecting them to a consistent source of health care and providing education, support, and outreach related to healthy living. We’re helping to create healthier beginnings and healthier lives. **Education:** We ensure children build a strong, early foundation by providing parents with tools to support their child’s development and education, improving learning environments, and helping children and their families overcome non-academic barriers to succeed in school and life. **Financial Stability:** We give people the education and tools to improve their lives and the lives of their children. That includes helping individuals get living-wage jobs and build a solid financial foundation by empowering them to manage their money better. **How We Do It** We create innovative solutions to our community's most pressing needs. We’ve been building a stronger community since 1921. We do it by working together. Together, we take a hard, long look at the problems facing our community. We involve experts and leaders, practitioners, and people in the neighborhoods. We work across partisan and income divides, inviting everyone into solutions. We hold community conversations to bring people from all walks of life into the solution conversation. Whether we’re driving agencies to common outcomes, leading an initiative, or creating collective impact, we’re the get-it-done people. We’re the stop-talking-start-doing-band-together-and-take-on-impossible-task-masters. No matter the odds, we surround a problem, and we fight to win—with results to show for it. But there is more work to do. That’s why we set ambitious goals and hold ourselves accountable. That’s why we listen hard and work hard to engage even more people in even better, bigger solutions.
