Description
**About the URC** The University Research Committee (URC), a standing committee of the Faculty Council, is responsible for awarding research grants to full-time faculty of Emory University. The program is intended to support research and creative projects of faculty in fields for which there is little or no external funding or to explore new areas of research that are likely to attract outside support. Applications are solicited annually from all regular, full-time faculty members of the University. URC eligibility follows criteria for “full-time faculty” as defined within each school. Proposals are reviewed by six discipline-based subcommittees, composed of faculty members of the University. In addition, a committee is dedicated to interdisciplinary research which promotes collaboration and integration across academic disciplines.
