**About Us** Welcome to the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. We are one of the original 15 family medicine residency programs. Since our founding in 1970, we have established the [Wisconsin Research and Education Network](https://fammed.wisc.edu/wren/), developed the first Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics course, created cutting-edge [fellowships](https://fammed.wisc.edu/fellowships/), and been ranked among the top [family medicine residency programs](https://fammed.wisc.edu/residency/) in the nation. Our department is deeply committed to transforming health care for all.
