**About** Western Michigan University is one of 80 institutions accredited by the [National Association of Schools of Dance](http://nasd.arts-accredit.org). We're dedicated to serving undergraduate students with 120 students pursuing B.A. and B.F.A. dance degrees and 55 students pursuing a dance minor. We also provides dance training for the music theatre performance major. Distinctive features of the dance majors include an equal emphasis on training in ballet, jazz, and modern dance, as well as the Great Works Dance Project and the National Choreography Competition. We are committed to providing professional immersion experiences that will help students make a smooth transition into the professional world.
