Our Perspective As a foundation, WFO prioritizes community, trust, and aims to reduces harmful philanthropic practices. What’s a foundation, anyway? A foundation gathers and distributes resources to support other organizations. At WFO, we mainly fund nonprofits across Oregon, while also supporting research. WHAT’S THE FUTURE WE WANT TO SEE? A world where gender doesn’t limit a person in any way. OUR FOCUS Research provides the Women's Foundation of Oregon with insights into the past experiences of women and girls in Oregon, informing our current grant making efforts. These grants address present needs, while our policy advocacy ensures the safety and well-being of women and girls in the future.
