Dr. Myjal Garner is a highly accomplished and dedicated healthcare professional with a wealth of experience and expertise in the field. Born and raised in East St. Louis, IL she developed a profound connection to her community, which continues to drive her commitment to reducing health disparities and promoting health equity. Her educational journey culminated in the attainment of a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), representing the pinnacle of her academic achievements. As an Assistant Professor and Certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), Dr. Garner plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals. Beyond the classroom, Dr. Garner actively practices at the SIUE We Care Clinic, situated on the SIUE East St. Louis campus.
